I like the food super yummy and tasty. I will go back after my salary this december 22th
Omg what an amazing Filipino restaurant experience. The food here was all so amazing that I wish I have more stomachs. The sisig was perfectly crispy. The soup was so refreshing. We love the giling giling. First time in the Philippines and first Filipino meal! Such a great experience!
Food was great and service too. I haven't been back to Manila in a long time and Manam was fantastic. They ambiance was perfect, very chill!
Manam's new location is on the second floor of Greenbelt 3. We go here for breakfast, brunch, lunch, merienda, and dinner. It is nice that they serve breakfast all day long. I also like meeting able to order small, medium, and large portions of items within the menu. My favorite dish is their House Crispy Sisig. I saw the Crispy Pancit Palabok being served at almost all the tables at the restaurant. I've enjoyed their refreshing watermelon and melon shakes. At this time, my favorite is their Mango Pomelo Sago Shake. I'm looking forward to trying their other shakes.
Update June 2024, GreenBelt 2 location is gone as the whole section is being renovated. But they moved to GreenBelt 3 2nd Floor (same floor as Din Tai Fung). Nice ambiance as new and bright. Went there about 4:30 for merienda and the staff were plentiful but preoccupied. Had to call them over to order. We decided to try the HaloHalo and Mais ConHielo. We were pleased with the latter, not so much with the Halo Halo. My main complaint is that the ice used in both Beas quite coarse. I may be spoiled by the fine ice at other Asian establishments. We also ordered their famous watermelon sinigang for dinner. This did not disappoint, it made it home without any spillage as well packaged and taped.
Wow!! Our first stop for food since we arrived! Clean, bright modern atmosphere with attentive service. Portions come in a range of sizes and are quite large! We ordered the fresh lumpia- think crepe with lumpia filing covered in a slightly sweet brown sauce . The pancit was perfect- vermicelli with sausage shrimp and veggies. The adobo chicken and pork belly was a hit- big chunks of meat slightly fried on the outside and covered in adobo. The gsing gsing are greens covered in a creamy coconut fish sauce- yum!!! The signature sigsig comes out sizzling with crispy pork bits and covered in their famous sigsig sauce. To wash it down - an ube smoothie with boba! Great way to sample lots of traditional Filipino food in an accessible environment.
Overall thought it was a solid place for modern Filipino food in a nice, sit-down environment. I ordered some of their most popular dishes to try: 1. House Crispy Sisig - It's a house special for a reason! Really crunchy texture - pairs well with rice. 2. Gising Gising - I wanted some veggies to balance out the other dishes, but felt that this was heavy because of the sweet coconut sauce on it. It was too much and I ended up not finishing. I did like the fried garlic on top. 3. Sinigang na Beef Short Rib & Watermelon - the tomatoes overpowered the watermelon and so it tasted more like a tomato soup. Only one piece of beef + the bone in my stew. 4. Mango Pomelo Sago with coconut milk - the sago was slightly hard (undercooked). Loved the mango + pomelo combo. Really refreshing drink on a hot, humid day. Side note: I originally wanted to order the Ube Sago which has coconut milk and ice cream in it. I am lactose-intolerant so I asked if they could omit the ice cream, but they said it's not possible.
First time trying Manam! I had a good experience. They were able to take my order right away. We had the chance to choose out of the menu before being seated. The options come in various sizes depending on the amount of people that are coming. These include small, medium, and large portions. This was very helpful. The food is amazing! I would come again. The restroom use very clean!
On multiple trips to Makati, Manam never disappoints. Never. My fave dishes to get here are: Crispy Sisig - done so right, crunchy bits of pork face, mixed in with rich cuts, seasonings, calamansi...so good with a cold San Mig Sinigang - uniquely done with watermelon, this is the Filipino answer to Vietnam's canh chua. Tangy, savory, rich, deep. Crispy pata - pig is king in the PH. They know how to get the skin perfectly crispy, while keeping the meet juicy as all get out. Bangus - milkfish is a delightfully sweet fish, but usually wrought with bones. Filipinos have figured out how to completely debone the fish. So good, and the belly cut is fine dining. Kare Kare - oxtails. Need I say more? Ok, a little more...richly flavorful peanut based curry, delish over hot white rice. Go. Just go now.
